All Lanes Closed As Box Truck Spills Load On US 30 In Central PA

A multi-vehicle crash involving a box car has closed all eastbound lanes of US Route 30 on Monday, July 11, according to the Pennsylvania department of transportation.

The crash happened by the exit for Exit: PA 741 - MILLERSVILLE/ROHRERSTOWN in East Hempfield Township at 10:46 a.m., authorities say.

The box truck involved was supposedly hit in the side and split open, spilled its unknown contents unto the roadway, dispatchers say.

RT 30 east remained closed two hours later and PennDOT officials are sure when the roadway will be cleared and reopened.
